Study of absorption of washing solution during various technological processes in drilling wells from floating drilling equipment
R.S. Ibrahimov Cand. in Tech. Sc. - Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry UniversityThe article examines technological data on the pressure balance in the well-layer system, which is disturbed due to the need to regularly make adjustments to the density of the drilling fluid, and the formation of complications with opposite properties. Studies show that the absorption of the fluid occurs in all cases when the hydrodynamic pressure in the well is high and as a result of the violation of the well-layer balance.
It is believed that absorption, depending on the lithological properties of the formation, the indicators of the drilling fluid and the additional pressure applied to the formation, is characterized by the saturation of the formation, the replacement of the solution in the formation or the filling of new cracks formed as a result of hydraulic fracturing. The composition of the drilling fluid should create conditions for the stability of the well wall. Oil-based fluids are characterized by a low clay crust. This creates favorable conditions for the absorption of the drilling fluid.
The article shows that in new exploration areas, the geological data approximately given in the project and the well structure and drilling mud parameters adopted in accordance with it often do not coincide with the project when the first wells are drilled. This is due to the lack of information about the area. Therefore, the selection of drilling mud parameters creates difficulties. This creates conditions for various complications, including the absorption of drilling mud, when drilling wells with floating drilling rigs.
As a result of many years of drilling experience and the analysis of mining data, it has been determined that if the well structure, drilling mud parameters and other factors are selected in accordance with the accurately given geological data of the well and if they are correctly followed when drilling the well, the well is brought to the design depths without complications and at high speed.
The article also provides software for combating absorption and shows that the ability of the program to work in an interactive mode creates conditions for creating a convenient information environment for its use, further emphasizing its visual and flexible features.
As a result, methods for determining the absorption zone of the solution in mining practice are shown.
