Selective thermochemical stimulation method for complex reservoirs

Nowadays, the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan faces the challenge of improving the efficiency of mature oil fields. This requires the application of rational approaches to field development to increase production through the widespread use of modern oil recovery methods and enhanced well productivity using advanced technological processes.
Innovative technologies are a key resource for increasing well productivity at mature fields. Taking into account modern approaches, it is reasonable to limit the use of chemical reagents, ensure environmental safety, and application of thermal methods to increase well productivity.
A technology has been developed for selective thermochemical stimulation of the near-wellbore zone of wells operating in complex reservoirs (with multiple productive layers). The use of the proposed technology significantly improves the efficiency of stimulation methods. The use of the developed thermochemical technology to increase the productivity of production wells at the Neft Dashlari field and additionally produce 840 tons of oil.
