Study of the combined effect of physical and chemical methods against the corrosion and salt deposition processes occurring in oil and gas field equipment
K.A. Mammadov PhD in Tech. Sc. - “Oil-Gas Scientific Research Project” Institute, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry UniversityThe article is devoted to the study of the combined effect of physical and chemical methods against the corrosion and salt
deposition processes occurring in oil and gas field equipment.
One of the topical issues is the study of the effectiveness of the application of the combined effect of various physical and chemical control methods in oil wells in order to prevent corrosion and salt deposition processes in oil and gas field equipment.
Taking into account the relevance of the current problem, studies were conducted in laboratory conditions to study the effect of permanent magnetic inductors of different voltages on the corrosion and salt deposition intensity of steel in sea and reservoir water environments. As a result of laboratory studies, it was determined that the maximum effect on the intensity of corrosion and salt deposition is achieved when working in a constant magnetic field with a voltage of 280 kA/m. Thus, due to the change in the composition of the studied formation water due to the effect of constant magnetic couplings, the aggressiveness of the environment also changes. Under the influence of the magnetic field, dissolved salts change their structure and do not precipitate as solid deposits, but are removed from the well as crystalline small dispersed sludge.
In this regard, studies were conducted to study the joint effect of “KDI” and “KDCQ” brand inhibitors in a constant magnetic field with a voltage of 280 kA/m. The presence of a synergistic effect was determined as a result of the joint effect of inhibitors in a constant magnetic field with a voltage of 280 kA/m.
As can be seen from the results of laboratory studies, the consumption of “KDI” and “KDCQ” brand inhibitors in a constant magnetic field with a voltage of 150 mg/l was determined. In this case, the corrosion protection effect was 94–95 %, and the salt deposition protection efficiency was 85–86 %. As can be seen from the comparative analysis of the results obtained, the consumption of inhibitors is saved by 25 % when using inhibitors together with a constant magnetic field.
As can be seen from the comparative analysis of the results obtained from the use of inhibitors without the influence of a constant magnetic field and with the influence of a constant magnetic field, the use of a constant magnetic field together with inhibitors is more economical.
