Analysis of structural and tectonic features of the meso-cenozoic sedimentary complex (case study of the Ganja monocline)

Based on analysis of the structural and tectonic features of the Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary complex of the Ganja monocline, several conclusions can be drawn in this article. Geophysical surveys and drilled wells revealed that the tectonic structure of the Cretaceous and Eocene deposits differs from that of the Maikop deposits. To study this difference in more detail, structural maps and cross-sections were created describing the geological structure of the sedimentary layers of the Cretaceous, Eocene, and Maikop deposits. It has been established that, upwards in the section, individual local uplifts change their structure and become hemiformed. This trend is also observed in faults. As they approach the upper stratigraphic units, the fault amplitudes gradually decrease and fade away.
