Synthesis of viscous additives of the type chemically modified polyacrylates
E. U. IsakovThe article is devoted to the synthesis of copolemeres of geptylakrylate with allylnaphenates as viscous additives which answer the contemporary requirements. Copolomerization was conducted by radical mechanism in the presence of initiator - dinitrile of azo(bis) isooily acid. The influence of the ratio of monomers, temperature, the consumption of initiator and duration of the process of copolymerizasion were investigated. The investigation of the process had shown the espediency of the conduction of copolymerizasion. According to the results of the investigation the quantity of the links of allyl monomers in the composition of copolymer must not be more than 50 % mol. The structure of the synthesized copolymer was studied by the methods of IR and PMR-spectroscopy. As monomer links differ a little by chemical structure, the entrance of allyl links to inpolemer chain by signal in PMR-spectrum, characteristic for OCH2-groups is known. The influence of the obtained copolymers on viscous-temperature properties of low viscous petroleum oils (for example oil I -12A) was studied. The influence of density, molecular mass and composition of copolymer on the studied indicators were investigated. It has been determined that shown that the use of 3.4 % copolymers of molecular mass with 8000-100000 in the composition of oil I-2A allows to obtain evaporated base oil with kenematic viscosity at 100 C 8 0.5 mmІ/c. viscosity index of the obtained oil is 135140. it is suitable to modern demands (viscosity index of such oils must not be less than 125). Destruction of obtained copolymers has been studied and it has also been compared with known viscous additives. It has been defined that durability of copolymers against thermical influences is two times more than known viscous additives.
