In the paper the oil and gas content of Eocene, Cretaceous, Maikop deposits are analyzed. The upper cretaceous deposits are characterized by the regional content. Comparatively the senoman stage and the carbonate rocks of senon have the best reservoir properties. The complex character of reservoir distribution both on square and along section is established. The most intensive oil and gas flows take place in the fault zones. Taking into account the complex character of reservoir distribution and oil-gas content, the basic accent is suggested to make on geophysical methodswith high spare solution, because they let to decode the structure of fault zone. The most optimal area on risk degree of the north part of Gazanbulag is recommended. Generally, the oil and gas content in the Eocene complex is connected with reservoir fractures. To determine the space position of geological object is necessary to carry the detail seismic works. The most favorable conditions with low degree of geological risk are on Gedakboz area. In order to conduct drilling on this area it is necessary to specify zone of high fracture, also to define the economic expedient of new well drilling. The Maikop suite deposits are characterized with sharp change of reservoir properties on area and section. The complex character of reservoir expansion, small sizes and reserves of discovered deposits make prospecting exploration inexpedient. So, Maikop suite must be the second exploration object.
