A modern economic situation is characterized by instability and vagueness in activity of petroleum companies. Steady development of company in a respect depends on its ability to forecast and flexibly react on the changing terms of external surroundings, retain and acquire new competitive edges in a flight on markets. Innovations, created as a result of scientific and technical activity of NIOKR subdivisions can become one of the competitive edges sources. Nowadays many Kazakhstan petroleum companies possess sufficient scientific and technical potential for realization of own research-and-developments, allowing strengthening competition positions due to an innovative factor. Major of large foreign petroleum companies along with corporate strategies of development the special innovative strategies developed. The last one must be tied up on aims resources with general strategy of company and formulated on the same period. Formulation process of general corporative and innovative strategies of company comes true repeatedly depending on its external and internal operating conditions changing. For formulation of innovative strategy there are three basic innovative entrances: Prognoses of environment factors Analysis of company internal potential; and Its corporate strategy In formulation of innovative strategy it is necessary to analyze the state and set the possible ways of development of scientific and technical potential of companies-competitors (both home and foreign), independent branch research.
