Modernization controlling hydraulic rotors used in well drilling and workover
A.O. AghabeyovModernization of truck-mounted rigs used in drilling and workover of wells in one of the main development directions of oil and gas industry. For introduction of perfected methods on this direction in Azerbaijan Republic, learning of local features show that one of the main problems at operating wells with less productivity, but having big potential of oil and gas resources is effective drilling and workover with minimal capital investment. Therefore, modernization of existing rigs used in drilling of not deep wells and workover of deep wells is very important. Effectiveness of using track-mounted rig of AK-60 type, setting with drilling equipment is confirmed to get more high results. Designed new equipment of NШ-80 type which possesses distance (remote) control of drilling tool using hydraulic rotors and this equipment is successfully tested at 3 well drilling operations of 1000 meters depth each. This equipment works independently from AK-60 rig, promotes long-term operation of hydraulic system of the rig and it can be used as emergency drive. Using this equipment is is possible to raise and lower the derrick of the rig AK-60 as well. This equipment possesses to rotate the chisel and milling cutters up to the frequency of 80 rpm., it prevents breakage of hydraulic system while working with heavy load and it accelerates the drilling process up to 1,5 times. Using NШ-80 type equipment with the setting to the AK-60 type rig is considered useful and economical effective for drilling of onshore wells with the depth in 1000-1200 meters and for the workover operations wells deeper to 2000 meters in oil and gas field of Azerbaijan.
