Research issues on Mesozoic oil in Azerbaijan

Research for deposits of Mesazoic period in Azerbaijan was analysed. There was offered to develop new models that enable to analyse preciously formation of main rocks, and producing of hydrocarbon for correct lines of research. In order to improve efficiency of research works new geophysical technologies along with traditional geological-geophysical methods were widely used especially in fault zones and small size structures. Under acceptable polygenesis theory, formalisation model of Muradkhanli and Tersdeller fields are investigated. For effectiveness of research works, it is offered to carry out geophysical works in two stages. The principle purpose is to determine depth faults in the chosen polygon, to define the contact or the branching out on depth, afterwards to discover perspective oil - gas objects by geophysical methods and to distinguish cracked and pressed zones. Upon having completed the operations above mentioned, drilling of exploratory wells must be offered.
