Strategy for research of oil of Mesozoic period in Azerbaijan
Kh. M. YusifovStudy of deposits of The Mesozoic period tells about lithology, thickness, slopping, reservoirs and geochemical indications of deposits at the base of study of kern materials. Stratigraphical condition of industrial oil and gas flows discovered in structure and deep drilling wells are specified. Oil formation zones, perspective areas, and the main research objects for The Mesozoic time are indicated. There is explained why research- prospecting drilling put as a task has not been settled to discover industrial oil and gas deposits. Considering auspicious conditions for generation and accumulation of thick The Mesozoic sedimentary rocks, hydrocarbon, and availability of mud volcano active from Miocene up to present time, Shamakhi - Gobustan zone is separated as a principle area to focus parametric, research - exploratory wells and conduct complex geophysical investigations under modern methods in order to search oil and gas fields in The Mesozoic deposits.
