Study of direct current field influence on mechanism of residual oil displacement from clay beds
R.A. MusayevThe article deals with influence of flow of direct current field on mechanism of residual Kirmaky oil displacement by water from reservoir model. The models consisted of Kirmaky suite rock, clean quartz sand with addition of 10 and 20 % montmorillonite clay to it. The experiments on residual oil displacement by produced water were conducted on special assembled setting allowed to measure the flow of direct current strength and temperature during experiment due to differential pressure. The reservoir model body was made from organic glass in the form of tube with 1.0 m length and 0.025 m diameter with built-in stainless steel electrodes at the output and input. The permeability indexes of used models in experiments were 0.14 0.30 mkm2. The content of residual water in the porous medium depending on rock composition in reservoir model varied from 12.5 to 18.5 %. The experiments on oil displacement by water were conducted during differential pressure 0.2 MRa. During constant current effect on the model with voltage of 100 V the temperature of experience medium increases from 18 оC up to 45 оC, the current strength grows which transfers through porous medium from 30 mA to 150 mA, the pH value of displaced residual oil water rises from 8.9 up to 11.9 and its interfacial tension decreases on the border with nonpolar hydrocarbon liquid. The field of constant current during 10 minutes decreases the electric resistance of montmorillonite clays saturated by electrolytes up to 2.5 times All mentioned factors contribute to the coefficient rising of the displacement of residual oil by water up to 20 %.
