In the article are shown the results of bench experiments upon bank volume influence on the factor of oil recovery from the reservoir model. The research works were conducted on especially designed for this purpose installation imitating joint action of layer-well system. To displacement underwent mixture of non-Newtonian oil and hard formation waters in different correlations. It was defined that while the bank is displaced with water the displacement efficiency varies between 0.32-0.42. It is noted that in other equal conditions the best oil displacement efficiency is achieved when the bank volume composes 10 % of layer pore volume. For bank volume displacement in porous medium the best result is achieved when as a work experience instead of water is used gas or compressed air. In watered layer it is advisable to affect on the layer with the bank in 10-30 aeration degree, the bank volume is practical to define within 0.1 % of layer pore volume, as it is continuously enriched with blowing agent.
