Some results of the statistical and spectral analysis of currents in Azerbaijan sector of Caspian Sea
A.S.AliyevStudying of Caspian Sea currents mode has great value while laying of underwater pipelines and cables, buildings of platforms and the separate bases, emergency cases of oil spills and etc. In spite of the fact that currents are one of the considerable oceanographic characteristics of Caspian Sea, till now they are insufficiently studied. It is even less investigated dependence of dynamic of polluting substances on circulation of sea water in horizontal and vertical directions. Research of sea currents by modern devices in oil and gas extraction areas in the Azerbaijan sector of Caspian Sea havent been conducted almost. The measurements which are carried out by known devices dont allow carrying out the statistical and spectral analysis of sea currents, with fair accuracy. In this article results of the statistical and spectral analysis of the currents measured in small intervals of time, by a modern measuring device of sea currents 3D-ASM-7000 are presented. Turbulent energy and speed dissipation of this energy are calculated. The received results are compared with the data before the conducted calculations.
