The use of fireproof composition for the protection of structures of stationary platforms from fire
N. A. AzimovThe article is devoted to the use of heat - resistant coating composition. It should be noted that as the area of application of used composition belongs to stationary platforms located in the open sea conditions, its resistance against the atmosphere besides its fire resistance was also taken into consideration. It has been taken into account that the used components - cover formers, binds, fillers, modifiers, used during the functioning of fireproof cover composition have production and raw material basis in the Republic. There has been used liquid glass with module 2.62.7, produced in the Azerkimya State Company as a binding component in the functioning of fireproof, heat resistant cover composition.Taking into consideration that the property of adhesion is little on the metal surface of the liquid glass, 5003 - 2B - 10 and 3003 - 2B - 10 branded polyester resins were added into its content. Polyester resin can also increase strength characteristics of the cover composition. Mineral matters like flatulent perlite sand, cement, sand, asbestos powder were used as fillers during the investigations. Among these fillers only the flatulent perlite sand was identified as a bind and modifier. There were carried out experiments identifying the fire resistance and combustion group by ISO method and the heat protection effectiveness of the fireproof cover composition in the Scientific Research Centre of Main Fire Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of The Azerbaijan Republic. As a result of the carried experiments the Scientific Research Centre of Main Fire Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of The Azerbaijan Republic awarded the fireproof cover composition OK with fire safety certificate. Toxicity of the refractory composition was set at the National Scientific Research Institute of Preventive Medicine named after V. Akhundov of the Ministry of Public Health of The Azerbaijan Republic.
