Pre - Talysh depression is structural analogue of Small Caucasus depression and is comprised of oily complexes of equal stratigraphic level. Its main tectonic unit Jalilabad synclinal zone is limited in the South with Arkivan addition. Dependent wing of the latter being comprised of Upper Eocene aged Arkivan tuffogenes of Burovar anticline zone overlaid Miocene deposits in below addition space of Jalilabad synclinal zone as water tight layer. So, portion оf Miocene clays rich with organic substances having fallen under new thermodynamic condition gained the status of mother rock status. As a result, condition emerged for development of oil - gas field in below addition space of Jalilabad synclinal zone. Determining of oiliness - gaseous features of Pre - Talysh depression allows attributing southern flank of Kura - South Caspian mega basin to the range of perspective regions of The Azerbaijan Republic.
