Oily - gaseous prospectivity of V horizon of Balakhani strata of structures in northern part of Baku archipelago
V. T. HasanovV horizon of Balakhani strata of Productive Layer is oily - gasous of industrial importance in Duvanni - sea, Khara - Zira Island and Khara - Zira sea areas in northern part of Baku archipelago. This horizon bears oil - gas in some sections neighbouring Baku archipelago and onshore areas. For example, horizon has gas cap oil field in Garadagh area and gas field in Duvanni area. And strong gas fountain occurred from V horizon during drilling in several wells in Dashgil area. Logging comparison of V horizon on wells drilled in Baku archipelago and neighbouring onshore area shows that sandy strata of horizon maintain their thickness and collector features in larger areas. Moreover, horizon is oily - gaseous in section near the vault in Duvanni - sea, Khara - Zira Island and Khara - Zira sea structures. Comparison of logging values of wells and rock patterns data show that thickness and collector parameters of V horizon are maintained in the whole northern section of Baku archipelago. So, it is supposed that V horizon of Balakhani strata may be oily - gaseous of industrial importance in section near the vaults of Alyat - sea structure, Umid and Babek structures.
