Accidental oil spills and their control

Development of oil - gas fields in Caspian Sea and transportation of hydrocarbons requires thorough reinforcement of actions system carried out against accidental oil spills. The article deals in detail with arrangement of issues on protection and saving marine and coastal strip, impact of accident on environment, issues of using advanced methods and technologies preventing spills. Contamination of coastal strip of Southern Caspian Sea, indexation of natural assets, urgency of using its sensitive map is considered. Localization, cleaning, evaluation of oil spills, rehabilitation of environment and other issues are reported in the article.
