About the accuracy of longitudinal wave speed identification by electrical resistance of sedimentary rocks
Kh.B.AghayevIn the article are brought the analysis results of some laboratory dimensional research works on sedimentary rocks samples about temperature and depression influence on the electrical resistance changing and the transfer rate of longitudinal waves in them. Herewith, sedimentary rocks physical properties and thermodynamic condition of the environment in Azerbaijan have been taken into consideration. The analysis results show that the changing of sedimentary rocks physical properties, pressure and temperature influence on their electrical resistance is not of constant character and sense. According to acoustic and electrical logging of one of the South Caspian basin deep wells have been developed the graphics of function and correlation index between velocity and rocks electrical resistance. In them between the velocity and electrical resistance have been observed many function of direct, inverse and indefinite character proportional. Thus, the synthetic rates of acoustic logging that calculated according to Faust formula from the rocks electrical resistance along the whole interval of studied well, different rocks and depths have not the same reliability and accuracy or in general may be incorrect. It points out the incorrectness of seismic rates definition from the electrical rocks.
