Oily - gaseous features of Surakhani and Garachukhur fields and perspective of Gala strata
A.M. SalmanovSurakhani and Garachukhur fields should be considered productive series from the prespective of increasing oil production. There are still reserves unreclaimed which may be developed here. Oily content of fields cover Productive Series deposits, in particular their upper and lower sections and Gala strata. Deposits are spread in south - east and east sections of Surakhani and Garachukhur folds here. Generally analysis of geological - geophysical data concerning these fields shows that the status of spreading of basis strata of Productive Series deposits and their involvement in exploration, specifying the dimensions of oily assets, presence of new oil traps and defining their boundaries etc. has been studied enough. The article provides recommendations and proposals regarding geological - exploration works to be carried out with purpose of increasing oil production in Surakhani and Garachukhur fields area, as well as drilling of new wells is recommended provided that Gala strata (Gs) is opened. The depth of proposed wells is 2700 m provided that GS2+3 horizons are covered and may be deeper for the lower deposits. According to the latest estimation data, if to take into account that only oil reserves to be extracted from Gs in Garachukhur field will amount to 800 thousand tons, drilling wells here may be deemed reasonable.
