Method of completing side track wells through definition of optimal length of horizontal filtration interval
A. A. SeydaliyevCurrently methods of completion of extended reach and horizontal bore wells with many down holes drilled in clusters are known. Increasing filtration surface in such wells is achieved due to drilling extended reach, horizontal bore and multi downhole wells. Implementation of these works demands a lot of funds and time. One of the works deals with completion of wells through inserting non-cemented tail tubing with filter to stratum located at 2800 m vertical depth, well with horizontal bore of 1000 1800m and more length, and well with 105 mm diameter in filtration interval. In this case specific geological situation should be taken into account. According to our opinion, the main disadvantage of present method is lack of justification of increase of filtration interval of horizontal wells on stratum and cost recovery failures for drilling and operation of horizontal wells. This method does not provide for increase of horizontal wells efficiency through expansion of well bore in filtration interval of stratum. Authors confirm that horizontal intervals with 70% filtration fails rapidly and dont contribute in increasing efficiency of well. From this point of view there is a necessity for identifying optimal value of filtration interval in horizontal bore wells. Article provides method of completion of wells though estimating optimal length of horizontal filtration interval regarding this. The essence of present method is that complication probability, drilling and operation costs are reduced with decrease of horizontal interval.
