From the practice of drilling wells in Kura and Gabirri interfluvial area

HajiyevDespite drilling of deep research, exploration and operation wells in different structures at Kura and Gabirri interfluvial area for the long time (1975-2010), a number of geological and technological difficulties still exist in drilling regarding the complex geological conditions of the field. From this point of view it is necessary to undertake respective geological-technological measures in order to prevent complications during drilling of clays of homogeneous and montmorillonite composition in Maikop strata which comprise majority (800 2000 m) of section. The article provides clarifications regarding the issues like selection of type, density and geological parameters of drilling fluid, opening and assimilation technology of productive series, etc.
