World wide oil and gas production
A.V. PoletaevOil production comprised 3913.7 mln. t. and gas production comprised 3193.3 billion m3 in 2010 worldwide. Mentioned oil production has been achieved in 48 out of 200 countries, and gas production in 49 out of 200 countries recorded by UNO. Depending on the volume of production of hydrocarbons, countries are combined in several groups conditionally. During the last decades sufficient oil and gas conforming to human living and ensuring usage by them has been produced. Oil and gas production is also of great concern in Azerbaijan. During the last 10 years oil production has been increased from 14 mln. t. to 51 mln. t. Launching of Shahdeniz gas-condensate field, achievement of oil flow in Umid and Absheron structures allows opening of new oily-gaseous districts in about 1000 deep laying offshore areas of Southern Caspian. Quantitative estimation of world resources shows that these reserves are enough for the period of more than 200 years for oil and more than 300 years for gas according to the present day production. Similar data is 180-300 years for oil and 126210 years for gas on Azerbaijan.
