In the paper are given the results of the synthesis and investigations of the new composite alkylsalicylic additives AKI-149 and -159. Technical alkylsalicylic acids have been obtained on the basis of alkylphenols by reaction Kolbe always contain unreacted raw alkylphenols ~20 % which are often the object of chemical modification, that is why they are involved into condensation by Mannich with formation of composite additives. Additives AKI-149 and -159 are calcium and carbonated calcium salts of condensation products of alkylsalicylic acid with formaldehyde and morpholine. Injection of additives of nitrogen atom into molecule increases anticorrosive properties of additives AKI-149 and -159 due to its adsorption ability in relation to metals. High alkalinity of additive AKI-159 promotes neutralization of acids formed in oil oxidation, providing its high fuel, anticorrosive and anti-oxidative properties and by these indexes AKI-159 exceeds additives AKI-149 and ASK. The synthesized additives were investigated in individual form in oil M-8, but additive AKI-159, having high exploitation properties was investigated in composition of motor oil М-12VB. The test results of motor oil М-12VB with additive AKI-159 showed that it meets the requirements of TU AZ 35368-14-008-2004 and does not yield in performance to the foreign analogue produce by Shell Rotella. Application of additive AKI-159 gives the possibility to use this additive in structure of lubricating compositions in creation of modern motor oils.
