Oil and gas bearing criteria have been reviewed and revealed the favorable combination of formation and maintenance of hydrocarbon deposits on Kichikdagh-Umid anticline south-east submersion region, including Umid, Babek, Mashal upheavals and neighboring D-31 structure. It was resumed that stable and gradual depression of deposit accumulation basin bottom which includes studied structures and beneficial paleogeographic position for terrigenous material ablation and accumulation defined the favorable combination for hydrocarbon deposits formation and maintenance major factors. High-evaluated oil and gas bearing prospects did not find evidence because of complicated conditions of hole making, but long-term and goal-seeking search works for hydrocarbon fields were successful due to completion of well No8 drilling at Umid area. Despite of complicated geological-technical drilling conditions, in 6006 m of bottom the well opened PS VII target horizon. According to conducted well survey by the complex, has been specified and evaluated hydrocarbon saturation potential of V and VII horizons. Obtained results allow continuing drilling search and exploration well on Umid upheaval and significantly raise prospects of detecting commercially productive hydrocarbons not only of neighboring Babek upheaval, but also of wider region, including Mashal and D-31 structures. At the moment at Umid area is carried out drilling of the second prospecting well and is continued the preparation for the prospecting well construction on Umid upheaval.
