The results of seismic survey by studying geological building of Mesozoic sediments
B.M. GarayevMesozoic sediments are considered prospective exploration and search object for discovering of new oil-gas fields. Geophysics SRI has been studying these sediments, also carrying out seismic survey for a long time via geophysical methods and in accordance with method progress in each period were obtained results listed below. Under the sincline on south-west Gobustan located between Dashmardan and Girlyg geological structures, at the depth of 5,6 6,8 km were marked seismic horizons of anticlinal form, related to Mezazoic sediments. Via new multiple purpose acquisition method was defined more uplift part of non-conformable ancient rocks on Southern Sheytanud structure. Afterwards is created more effective 3-dimensial seismic method spatial-azimuthal method of Regulated Directional Reception (RDP) and in 1992-1993 was introduced with new results by Mezazoic in complicated conditions of Tersdaller - Palanteken area. Beginning from 2001 Gephysics SRI has conducted exploration works for studying inside structure of Mesozoic sediments. These works have been already carried out in Zardab Garavelly, Muradhkanly Soyudlar, Zardab Shikhbaghy Western Shikhbaghy areas and together with Kashfiyyatgeofizika Department in Naftalan, Nothern Naftalan, Gedakboz areas with construction of structural maps by Upper Cretaceous and inter Cretaceous sediments. On the basis of obtained data it was concluded that reflected boundaries registered under the Mesozoic surface on the studied areas were connected with layers of volcanogenic sedimentary deposits on fold limbs and chaotic seismic record which is recorded on crest and crest side with unstratified eruptive rocks.
