The significant events in the history of Azerbaijan oil industry

The article is dedicated to 20-th anniversary of foundation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic; there were represented the significant events took place in the total oil history of Azerbaijan: from the building of the first sea oil wells in the Bibi-Heybats bay till the placing of modern drilling installations and platforms on the Caspian Sea. It was underlined in the article that if in the beginning of XX century Azerbaijan was one of the first oil exporters, but now, in the beginning of XXI century the republic is of the first oil and also, gas exporters.
