About the jet fuels production for “Airbuses” and “Boeings” in Republic
V.K. AlexandrovNow in Azerbaijan the airliners of Airbus and Boeing companies are maintained, therefore manufacture of АSТМ type of Jet A-1 jet fuel is of current interest. Meanwhile, oil refining factories of the republic produce fuel of ТС-1 mark for civil aircraft in accordance with GOST 10227. Comparison of the data of ТС-1 and Jet A-1 jet fuels shows their discrepancy on fractional composition, flash point and freezing point, viscosity, acidity, luminimetric number. There are divergences of such indicators as density, combustion heat, smoke point, aromaticity content. The data of TC-1 AND Jet A-1 fuels are although identical by rated quality indexes, but have differences in their values. In certain degree it influences their exploitation indexes, in particular for foreign airliner engines. In connection with toughening of requirements to ecological and operational characteristics of jet fuels, increase in number of the international flights, increase in competitiveness of airlines of the republic Jet A-1 production arrangement in Baku oil refineries became actual. The certain experience in this direction is available in the republic, so in one of Baku oil refineries has been carried out the work on production of Jet A-1 fuel on installation electrical desalting atomic vacuum plant which has brought to light the discrepancies of several indicators and has confirmed the possibility of hydrofining process applying for Jet A-1 production according to АSTM-D specification. For realization of this process it is offered to use one of the sections of oil hydrofining plant at Azerneftyagh plant. The engineering design of this section transfer to kerosene hydrofining has been executed by Oil-gas Scientific Research and Design Institute together with VNIINP (All-Russian research institute on oil processing).
