Condition and classification on generation of favorable traps for accumulation of hydrocarbons in South Caspian Depression
A.M. SuleymanovFormation of favorable traps for accumulation of hydrocarbons in sandy depressions of Paleogene-Miocene and lower Pliocene in South Caspian depression has commenced in deposit accumulation process, and ended in the result of Pontian plications and upper Pliocene-Anthropogenic folds. Traps of structural- stratigraphical type were formed under incompatible slope plane in the result of overlaying of sandy horizons of Paleogene-Miocene by clayey deposits of Pontian stage inconsistently, and on incompatible slope plane in the result of sandy horizons of efficient layer overlaying on clayey sediments Paleogene-Miocene. Lithological traps were formed as a result of overlaying or substituting bar, lace-formed and lens typed sand masses, gathered on the southern shore of The Caspian Sea, characterized with intensive sinking and extension during efficient layer, in the course, deltas of Paleovolga, Paleokura and other small paleorivers, continental slope of turbidities and abyssal areas with clays. In the result of Absheron folding individual peculiarities formed in the geological structure with complications of their breaking in different type and directions of structural, stratigraphico and lithologico folds of efficient layer and Paleogene-Miocene. Taking into account individual features of oil and gas fields and the traps their detailed classification was described.
