Experimental investigation of viscosity of polymer solutions for the purpose of use in Northern Buzachi deposit

In the result of analysis it has been known that there are reservoir fluids with different viscosity and permeability in Productive series of northern Buzachi deposit. For prevention of complication occurring in connection with the entrance of additional water capacity, water-soluble polymers and their compositions produced in Chine and Japan have been used in the deposit. As a liquid, water of the Volga and sea water have been used. Researches have been carried out at atmosphere pressure and in the condition close to layer temperature (30 oC). It has been known that viscosity of polymer solution depends on mixing rate, mineralization of solvent and hydrogen indicators. The Pekingese polymer has the greatest value among the investigated polymers. Characteristics of polymer compositions based permanent Pekingese and CS-131 have been determined. Aluminum citrate has been used as a linking agent. Researches have been shown that viscosity of gels on the base of polymer, sea water and water of the Volga is close to 200 mPa.s when polymer concentration is 0.2 % and it is close to viscosity of layer oil.
