Underground thermal waters of Mangishlak is an alternative source of heat and energy

KasayevaAs a main factor in evaluation of expediency of using non-traditional energy sources, comparison of prime cost of obtained energy with prime cost of energy obtained from use of traditional sources is accepted. Those sources have special importance on local demand for energy. Currently, being many-branched production type, power engineering is the main part of Kazakhstan economy. Kazakhstani power engineering is based on its coal, oil and hydroenergetics. But at present there are some problems with the local electricity in the west and south areas of the country. In the article, main regions of Kazakhstan which have thermal waters have been shown and distribution of geothermal sources in Mangistau province is given.
