Development and application of nanostructural mud in drilling

GuliyevIn order to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of complications during drilling operations in the fields of Baku archipelago and Caspian Sea basin, new nanostructural drilling muds have been developed and after research were applied in different intervals of drilled wells. According to the research results, it has been established, that nanosystems added to various types of drilling mud create synergetic effect and so have the ability to regulate a wide range of structural and mechanical, colloidal and chemical, rheo-technological and tribotechnical characteristics of drilling mud of complex nature. In nanostructural muds the effects of nanomemory, longevity and early turbulence have been revealed. The mechanism of regulation of the rheological parameters of drilling fluids before and after application has been studied.
