About internal geological structure of the Mesozoic deposits in Naftalan - North Naftalan - Godekboghaz area

GarayevTaking into account that study of geological structure of the Mesozoic deposits is an urgent geological problem, exploration works have been conducted applying complex geophysical methods of modern technical and methodical level in oil and gas perspective Naftalan-North Naftalan-Godekboghaz area and new results have been obtained. As in other areas of Yevlakh-Aghjabedy downfold, studied via seismic prospecting, on this square short length, interruptedly reflecting borders in the Mesozoic deposits intervals of the seismic fragments have been also observed. Special analysis has been carried out in order to determine origin of the reflected waves corresponding to these borders and it has been established, that they are effective waves and connected with the geological boundary of the volcanogenic deposits, disseminated in Mesozoic interval. On the basis of this and with usage of seismic profiles, obtained on the studying square, the whole seismic information received from Mesozoic deposits interval has been interpreted and structural scheme reflecting internal geological structure of the deposits has been developed.
