Multifunctional additive to lubricating oils

MammadovaThe research results of new AKI-161 alkylphenol additive synthesizing, representing calcium salt of alkylphenole condensation product, alkylsalicylic acid with formaldehyde and sodium sulfide are reviewed. Alkylsalicylic additives have detergent and thermo-oxidative properties. AKI-161 additive in its composition has carboxylated and alkylphenolated groups, as aklylsalycilic additives, but unlike the latter, this additive has atom of sulfur too. We offer ecologically harmless technology of sulfur-containing additive development with the use of sodium sulfide as sulfurized agent. High efficiency of product is confirmed by the results of laboratory tests in individual terms and as in the composition of M-10G2 engine oil. The developed experimental M-10G2 engine oil meet the requirements of GOST 8581-78 on this oil type and does not yield to the foreign analogue of Shell company.
