We have investigated aspects concerning chlorine compounds recovery from the hydrogen-bearing gas fed from the catalytic reforming unit to the catalyst crackers hydrotreating unit. Salting was observed on the hydrofining section of catalyst cracker. Salt deposition also occurred in the upper layers of the catalyzator loaded into the hydrofining reactor R-101 / 1, -2. The above-mentioned phenomena are connected with chlorine ingress into the stream of hydrogen-bearing gas coming from the reformer. We propose adsorption refining method using aluminum oxide and zinc oxide based adsorbents in order to remove chlorine from the hydrogen-bearing gas content.
