On the drilling of horizontal wells on Pirallahy field
R.R. JafarovThe history of horizontal wells drilling during last 20 years and its effectiveness are considered in the article. The drilling of horizontal wells is especially effective in residual oil reserves production in shoal water zone fields being on the last exploration phase. The effectiveness of hard-extracted oil reserves via horizontal well drilling is shown. With this aim the project of horizontal well drilling on the Pirallahy northern fold is developed. According to this project the well has to be drilled on Pirallahy seashore: the depth of the well will be 1400 m in 940 m wellbore deviation from vertical. While drilling well wellbore for each 10 m the curvature will be 0.8 degrees and thereby, the length according project horizon will be 330 m.
