The results of the analysis and processing of GIS data on depression regions of Azerbaijan testifies that the definition the AHFP zones lower boundary depth by them to 5000-6000 m is not difficult. Analysis of other geophysical fields (seismic, electrical and gravimetric-magnetic exploration) materials gives reason to believe that to determine the values of rocks electrical resistivity including clay to large depths (6500-8500 m), it is possible to use electrical data obtained via point sounding of magnetotelluric and its depth variant.
