Estimation of wave energy in Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea

At present the development of rural economy and industry, growth and gradual increase of population living level, rise the requirements to alternative energy sources. Fuel reserves decrease, instability of their prices, harmful impact on environment during burning process and other factors lead to the searches of non-traditional alternative energy sources. From the ecological point of view wind-wave energy should be used. The issue of wind-wave energy estimation in Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea is considered. The speed and duration of the wind, its strength changing by the seasons, waves height have been researched, wind, also the wave energy and wave power calculated on the basis of wind speed and wave height.
