The technology of corrosion protection of immersible electric pump bodies via composition materials

Conducted practical observations and investigations testify that one of the reasons of submerged electric pump incapacitation in oil production is the corrosion damage of their metal cases as consequence of aggressive influence of produced water and hydrogen sulfide content. Various methods are used for corrosion protection of immersible electric pump bodies, particularly to cover them with metallic powder and paint materials. However, the problem continuous to be relevant. A new way of corrosion protection of electric immersible pump bodies using the composition of glass-fiber reinforced materials is considered. On the basis of new technology 40 metal cases have been manufactured and successfully implemented in wells and are currently on-stream in extra aggressive conditions of Azneft Production Union onshore fields.
