The results of synthesis and investigations of physical-chemical and functional properties of new modification of boron and nitrogen containing alkylphenolate additive are presented. AKI-210 additive is calcium salt, synthesized via condensation of alkylphenol, formaldehyde and diethanolamin with the further treatment by boric acid and neutralization of obtained product by calcium hydroxide. The presence of heteroatoms of boron and nitrogen in the composition of molecule of calcium alkylphenolate provides its high exploitation qualities. The studying of functional properties of the additive either in M-8 oil individually or in the content of M- 8B motor oil composition confirms its high effectiveness. It has been revealed that AKI-210 additive shows high anti-corrosion, anti-acid and anti-wear properties. M-8B motor oil with the mentioned additive in its composition, meets the requirements of GOST 1054178 standard by all indexes and does not yield to its foreign analogue of Shell. AKI-210 additive can be used in the composition of motor oils of various groups instead of well-known alkylphenolate additives to obtain prospective lubricant compositions.
