The characteristics of geological section speed in the east-west part of Yevlakh-Aghjabedy depression

The accuracy of seismic survey results significantly depends on the correctness of information on studied medium speed characteristics. This information is generally obtained from the results of data on vertical seismic profiling (VSP), acoustic logging and 2D and 3D seismic surveys. The results of average, layer and interval speeds in five deep wells located in the east-west part of Yevlakh-Aghjabedy depression have been considered according to the VSP data. The models of average, layer and interval speeds and their comparison by wells and squares are provided. The average speed maps have been developed according to the roof of Eocene and Maikop sediments.
