The eruption of Shikhzarly mud volcano in Gobustan
G.J. YetirmishlyThe article is devoted to the next twenty third eruption of Shikhzarly active mud volcano of Gobustan region. The six recorded phases of eruption lasted intermittently an hour and 22 minutes. The geologic position of the volcano, the seismological data, which determine the depth of focus and energy of the eruption have been considered, a historical overview of eruptions since 1844, given. The results of a survey of the event, the analysis of mud breccia, especially oil sandstones and shale of the Oligocene-Miocene are provided.
