The classification of Azerbaijan oils by group content

RamazanovaThe results of study on dependence between molecular mass and density of oils took from various fields of Azerbaijan are provided, as well as the classification of these oils by group content is conducted. The experimental data on oils from 325 wells in Azerbaijan (Kursangy, Neftchala, Khilly, Apsheron, Garadagh, Surakhany, Garabaghly and etc.) has been analyzed and the following parameters defined: density, molecular mass, initial and final boiling temperatures. The dependence of molecular mass on the density of condensates, light, average and heavy oils is shown. The concentration triangle reflecting the group hydrocarbon content of oils is built. It has been established that most of oils from considered fields are of methane-napthene type.
