The results of the comparative tests of the protective properties of the new modifications of additives of alkylphenolated type are provided. The investigations of the samples of additives in oil M-14 have been conducted in concentration of 4.5-6.0 % with damp metal plates (copper, steel, lead) corresponding to GOST 9.05475 . While keeping above-mentioned plates in moist chambers during several days, the first centers of corrosion are observed, and by quantity of oxidation products peeled from the surfaces of plates, the efficiency of additives on protective property is defined. During the test of oil samples with additives the first centers of corrosion of steel plates were determined in hard conditions - in damp air delivering at speed of 30 l/hour, heated to 17520 C. The possibility of decrease of corrosion index for three times in comparison with the investigated additives (after 9-12 days corrosion index composed 10-12 %, and the protective effect 85-92 %) was established. The efficiency of additives is connected with their micellar structure, alkalinity and adsorption properties of heteroatoms (nitrogen, sulfur, boron). AKI-130, -150, -209 and -210 additives in moist chambers and electrolytes mediums show high stability against corrosion. Multifunctional properties of the above-mentioned additives allow to create universal motor oils on their bases.
