Preparation for processing of hydrocarbon gas supplied from the catalyst cracker
A.S. GuliyevThe problems concerning dehydration of hydrocarbon gas supplied from the catalyst cracker to the Ethylene-Polyethylene plant, are considered in the article. Hydrocarbon gas, produced in the absorption and gas fractionation sections of the catalytic cracker undergoes water flushing followed alkali treatment in the K-103 column. Therefore, it contains an appreciable quantity of moisture (0,4320,440 g/m3). Transportation of the gas to the Ethylene-Polyethylene plant involves some technological complications. We propose adsorption cleaning using a synthetic zeolite-based KA-U grade adsorbent in order to extract moisture from gas.
