The plug cleaning device for production casing of small diameter and results of its application

For cleaning of well bottom holes from sand plugs nowadays plug cleaning devices of different type sizes are developed and introduced by Designing and optimization of well operation methods department of Oilgasproject Institute. However, despite the availability of operated wells with 114 mm casing strings, plug cleaning device for them was not developed. Taking into consideration the need in such a size of plug cleaning device, the department developed a device for wells with 114 mm production casing. This device differs from others with its simple construction, reliability, easiness in operation and high coefficient of efficiency. The plug cleaning device may be pulled into the well either on cable, or on tubing string by means of oil-well tubing. After successful acceptance test of the device in well No 288 in Oil and Gas Production Board named after A.A. Amirov, it was recommended for wide application in fields. During six months of current year the device was introduced in 11 wells of 5th field of OGPB A.A. Amirov. The introduction results of a new construction showed that its application reduces the quantity of runs for plug cleaning, stabilizes the operation regime of the well and shortens the time of its completion.
