The specification of tectonic structure, oil and gas bearing prospects and drilling in Mesozoic sediments of Aghburun-deniz structure on the basis of new geological-geophysical data
N.A. MajidovThe analysis of geophysical and data on drilled wells allowed to specify the tectonic structure of Ahgburun-deniz. In the result of geological profiles and structural map development, a longitudinal fault passing through arch of the fold and two parallel faults one in central block and the other in south-west wing of the fold, were revealed. Two longitudinal faults divide the structure into three parts: north-east and south-west wings, central block (arch). On the basis of analysis and interpretation of geological-geophysical data, the oil-gas prospect of Pliocene, Miocene-Paleogene and Mesozoic sediments sections in Aghburun-deniz square have been considered. The data on drilling of exploration wells in Mesozoic sediments are provided and on the basis of their test results in which gas flows were obtained, we make a conclusion that it is necessary to continue exploration works first of all on Aghburun-deniz square. On the basis of detailed analysis of drilled wells conductivity conditions and results of geophysical survey on Aghburun-deniz square, incompatible intervals by geological-technical terms of drilling with abnormal high formation and pore pressures were established. Taking into account geological factors influencing wells conductivity conditions, the rational constructions for future exploration wells have been offered.
