Geological structure of oil-gas bearing content of Mesozoic deposits of South-West board of Yevlakh-Aghjabady trough
E.F. KhalilovThe lithofacies, regional and local structural-tectonic features, as well as the issues of oil-gas bearing content of Mesozoic deposits in south-west board of Yevlakh-Aghjabady trough have been considered. It was defined that oil and gas bearing content of Mesozoic deposits is generally connected with upper carbonate part of Upper Cretaceous deposits. The oil and gas deposits in South-West board of Yevlakh-Aghjabady trough were formed in the consequence of lateral and vertical hydrocarbon migration and their accumulation in traps of different types. More prospective traps are those that located near regional faults, where high fracturing of collectors with poor permeability takes place.
