Reasons for string sticking, ways and methods of its release

String sticking occurs during maintenance, drilling and well operations, even if actions have been taken to prevent it. The article provides information on reasons for string sticking and factors causing it; string sticking site and determination of its tension; on extension of tubing and drill pipes and definition of extension in accordance with formulas and tables; specification of the upper limit of string sticking; methods of string sticking site disconnection; bending back and forth of string sticking; reverse unscrewing of unstuck part of pipe string and the factors affecting this operation.
