Semisynthetic oils based on petroleum oils and oligomers of -olefin
G.A. HuseynovaThe compounding of petroleum base oils with 10 to 50 % fractions of hydrogenated a-olefin oligomers was offered to improve their quality. Petroleum base oil with viscosity index (VI) 67 and a pour point - 2C is the product of mixing oils AK-15 and T-22 in 85:15 ratio. Fraction of hydrogenated б olefin oligomers separated from the product obtained in the oligomerization of propylene, and hydrogenated on Pt-containing catalyst. This fraction represents 100% of iso-paraffin structure and characterized by a low pour point (- 62C) and a high viscosity index (122). The introduction of oil 50% hydrogenizated oligomers of a-olefin to petroleum may improve its viscosity-temperature properties (viscosity index increase on 36 points) and lower freezing temperature from - 2 to -16C. It is possible to obtain medium viscosity base motor oils on the basis of compounding.
