Geology and petroleum potential of south-western board of the Yevlakh-Aghjabady through
A.M. SuleymanovThe article describes the lithofacies, regional and local structural-tectonic features and oil-gas bearing questions of Paleogen-Miocene deposits. It was found that petroleum potential in the section of Paleogen-Miocene deposits is mainly associated with the deposits of the Maykop Formation and Middle Eocene. These deposits are in the central part of the through, and in the submerged part of the SW board were in the zone main phase of oil and gas generations and oil-gas deposits were formed due to the migration and accumulation of hydrocarbons in different types of traps. More prospective ones of them are tectonically screened traps that are located on the way of hydrocarbons.
